Hi Gina, tell us a little bit about yourself!
I am a musician and multi-disciplinary artist from the Baltimore, MD area.

How long have you been painting? What inspired you to become an artist?
My love for art started at a very young age. Even in kindergarten my coloring books had shading. Drawing was my art form of choice. I didn’t take up painting until 2016 when an injury made playing guitar or drawing impossible. I started with watercolor then moved into fluid acrylics.

How would you describe your style?
Regarding the medium I’m most known for, fluid acrylics, the thing that most stands out about my work is achieving cells without the use of silicone or other additives. I love the scientific aspect of this art form and I live conducting experiments on canvas.

What is your favorite GenCrafts product to use?
The metallic acrylics pouring paints are magnificent. The shine and separation are unrivaled in a premixed pouring paint.

What advice do you have for beginner artists?
Be patient with yourself. No one creates a masterpiece on their first try.

What is your favorite part about the creative process?
Specifically regarding fluid art, every piece is like Christmas morning. Every cup holds a gift waiting to be unwrapped. Sometimes you get a pair of socks, but sometimes you get a diamond tennis bracelet. It’s always a surprise. 

Tell us an interesting fact about your art!
I specialize in straight pours, which create cells without using silicone or other additives. This technique uses the Rayleigh Taylor Instability to create the cells. Every piece is an experiment in fluid dynamics. .
