Hi Tish, tell us a little bit about yourself!
Hi, my name is Tish. I am a self taught fluid artist. I love acrylic pouring and working with epoxy resin. I make tutorial and demonstration videos for my YouTube channel Naptime Creations. I really enjoy creating functional art with any free moment I have. I am also a busy mom to 2 small children & my beloved Shih Tzu Chewy.

How long have you been painting? What inspired you to become an artist?
I would say I've always been an artist. I have been a fluid artist for just under 3 years. Some of my fondest & earliest childhood memories are of drawing and making handmade gifts for friends and family. It brings me great joy to make something and be able to gift it to others and have it bring them joy as well.

How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as abstract with lots of sparkle and shine. Acrylic pour paintings with embellishments of glitter, texture, and crushed glass are some of my favorite pieces to make.

What is your favorite GenCrafts product to use?
It's so hard to pick only one. If I had to pick one it would be the GenCrafts Epoxy Resin. Functional art is my all time favorite thing to make. Resin coasters and trays are what I find myself wanting to create the most. The GenCrafts Epoxy Resin is perfect for those projects I love creating.

What advice do you have for beginner artists?
My advice for beginner artists would be to never stop learning and experimenting. Also don't be afraid or intimidated to try new things. Sometimes I make things and I will call it a "fail" but in all honesty the piece is never a "fail" if you learned something from the creative process.

What is your favorite part about the creative process?
My favorite part of the creative process is planning out my projects & designs in art journals. I like to make project idea lists & draw quick sketch design ideas with color combinations. It's also fun to go back and look at old ideas and designs.

I'm a planner, I love structure and being in control. Being a fluid artist has definitely taught me to go with the flow. It's actually helped me relax more in my everyday life.

An interesting fact about my art is it's all created by me during my kids Naptime. That's how I came up with my YouTube channel name Naptime Creations.
